Itinerary
Mon - We depart to make our way to the Holiday Inn Slough – Windsor, your relaxing base for the next four nights. En route, we’ll enjoy a visit to Royal Leamington Spa, known for its elegant Regency architecture, beautiful parks, and boutique shopping – a perfect place to stretch your legs and enjoy lunch at your own pace.
On arrival at the hotel, you’ll receive a warm welcome before settling into your modern, well-appointed room – designed with your comfort in mind.
Spend the afternoon at your leisure: perhaps enjoy a freshly brewed coffee in the stylish Open Lobby, or take a gentle stroll around the local area. In the evening, sit back and enjoy a delicious dinner in the hotel’s welcoming restaurant – the perfect start to your Thameside escape.
Tues - After a hearty breakfast, we make our way into Windsor, a town steeped in royal heritage. You’ll have the opportunity to admire the exterior of Windsor Castle – the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and a residence of the Royal Family. Entry to the castle is optional and not included in the tour.
Enjoy free time to explore Windsor's charming town centre, stroll along the scenic riverside, browse its independent shops, or enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the many inviting cafés. We return to the hotel later in the day with time to unwind before dinner.
Wed - Today we take a scenic drive to the delightful market town of Henley-on-Thames. Nestled along the banks of the Thames, Henley is famous for its regatta and beautiful riverside setting.
Enjoy time at leisure to browse the charming boutique shops, relax with a coffee or riverside lunch, or take a peaceful walk along the riverbank to soak in the stunning views. You might also explore the historic town centre, visit the beautiful St. Mary’s Church, or enjoy some quiet time in one of Henley’s lovely public parks.
Thu - After breakfast, we travel to the lively town of Kingston upon Thames. A historic market town turned modern riverside hub, Kingston offers a lovely mix of culture, green spaces, and great shopping.
Enjoy free time to wander the riverside, explore the ancient marketplace, or visit the Bentall Centre for retail therapy.
Return to the hotel in the late afternoon for your final evening dinner together.
Fri - Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out. As we begin our journey home, we make a stop in the historic market town of Stratford-upon-Avon – the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Take time to explore the charming streets, enjoy a riverside stroll, or browse the independent shops and cafés at your own pace.
Take home wonderful memories of riverside towns, royal history, and relaxing days along the Thames.
