Under the terms on licensing (Scotland) act 2005, the supply of alcoholic drinks in the inclusive package  is not unlimited. Burns Night is annually celebrated in Scotland on or around January 25. It commemorates the life of the bard (poet) Robert Burns, who was born on January 25, 1759. The day also celebrates Burns' contribution to Scottish culture. His best known work is Auld Lang Syne.

The Hotel dates back to the late 1700s and throughout history has always offered lodging to weary travellers passing through by Loch Lomond and the Trossachs areas.

Formerly a coaching inn, The Winnock Hotel has been lovingly restored and tastefully extended to its present day form. Offering 73 bedrooms, cosy lounges; many with open log fires, a characterful restaurant, function room and public lounge bar. All bedrooms include, Satellite TV, Tea & Coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone and en suite bathroom.

 

Itinerary

Thu -  Travel to Drymen arriving late afternoon. Settle into your room before your evening meal.

Fri - Sun -  Throughout the week you can enjoy excursions to Callander via Aberfoyle past the Brig O Turk and Loch Venachar. Killin which is as far north as the Roman army reached before they were fought back by the clans. We also travel along the shores of Loch Tay up to Aberfeldy  for lunch, continuing our scenic drive down towards Crieff before returning to the hotel. You will also enjoy an excursion to the ancient capital of Scotland, Stirling.

Mon -  After breakfast and a farewell  hot toddy we commence the homeward journey.
