Step aboard the superb Waverley Paddle Steamer and wave goodbye to Glasgow as we set sail on the last seagoing paddle steamer in the world! Named after Sir Walter Scott’s Waverley novels, the ship embarked on her maiden voyage in 1947. Now a much-loved tourist attraction, we enjoy a memorable journey, steaming along the River Clyde and taking in the beautiful views all the way to Rothesay on the Isle of Bute – and back again!

The restaurant and bar are located on the ground floor.
Thu - Morning departure as we make our way to Glasglow, some free time in the city before we make our way to the hotel. Settle into your room and enjoy your evening meal.
Fri - Today we head to the dock at the Glasgow Science Centre to catch our morning departure on the Waverley Paddle Steamer for a return journey to Rothesay on the world’s last seagoing paddle steamer. We travel “doon the watter” on the River Clyde, historically one of Glasgow resident’s favourite holiday trips. When on board the Waverley we can visit the engine room and see the mighty steam engine power the ship’s massive paddle wheels. The Waverley also has a traditional dining saloon serving a range of meals and snacks, also period lounges so the beautiful coastline can be enjoyed from the Promenade Deck or the comfort of a seat indoors. We have a short pause to explore the Victorian seaside resort of Rothesay before embarking on our return journey.
