Boppard, formerly also spelled Boppart, is a town and municipality in the Rhein-Hunsrück-Kreis in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, lying in the Rhine Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town is also a state-recognized tourism resort and is a winegrowing centre.

Sail away into the night when you get the ferry to Holland on the crossing from Hull to Rotterdam. There’s so much on board the ship for you to enjoy as you journey across the North Sea. From discount shopping and a whole range of different entertainment options on offer, this is sure to be one ferry crossing you won’t forget.
The ships facilities include restaurants, lounges, bars, piano bar, cinema , shops  and entertainment.
Facilities include, lift, restaurant, lounge, bar and all bedrooms have en-suite bathroom, hairdryer and tea/coffee maker.
Staying at the Hotel Ebertor, Boppard - this family-run, 3-star Superior hotel is located opposite Boppard Train Station. The rooms feature bright décor and a modern bathroom.

The cost of evening dinner & breakfast for the return ferry sailings (2 dinners & 2 breakfasts) will be £74.00 per person. n.b. Ferry meals must be pre-booked with our Travel Office when making the initial reservation, the cost of which will be included within the final holiday invoice.

Itinerary

Sun - Travel to Hull where we board the overnight ferry sailing to Rotterdam, Holland. Settle into your cabin and enjoy the on-board facilities.

Mon -  Early morning arrival in Rotterdam, disembark as we rejoin the coach for our drive to Boppard in Germany. We arrive at the hotel in time for our evening meal.

Tue -  After breakfast we take a return journey to the summit on the Drachenfelsbahn, Konigswinter. The Drachenfels Railway is a rack railway line in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany. The line runs from Königswinter, on the east bank of the Rhine, to the summit of the Drachenfels mountain at an altitude of 289 m. Besides the two terminal stations, an intermediate station serves the Schloss Drachenburg.

Wed - This morning we enjoy a guided tour of Cochem Castle. The castle we see today towering above the scenic town of Cochem on the Moselle River is not the castle that originally stood there in the 12th century. That castle had a long and colorful history until French King Louis XIV had his troops obliterate it in 1689. The castle remained a colorful stone ruin for 180 years until wealthy Berlin businessman Louis Ravené decided to buy the ruins and rebuild the castle in 1868. But he was not interested in restoring it to its original Romanesque style and condition. He had his architects create a neo-Gothic castle that could serve as a summer residence for his family. 

Thu - Today is at leisure in Boppard. 

Fri - After breakfast we enjoy an excursion to Koblenz. Koblenz, spelled Coblenz before 1926, is a German city on the banks of the Rhine and of the Moselle, a multi-nation tributary. Koblenz was established as a Roman military post by Drusus around 8 B.C. Its name originates from the Latin cōnfluentēs, meaning " confluence".

Sat - Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before we rejoin the coach for our journey to Rotterdam to board our mini cruise ship. Settle into your cabins as we sail through the night to Hull.

Sun - The ship arrives in Hull at approx. 08.00hrs and after disembarking we continue the homeward journey.
